Privacy Policy

Dropfeed is a UK price-drop alert service operated by Inception I/O Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09336954), whose registered office is at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. We monitor product prices across UK retailers and email you when a product drops to your target price. References to "we", "us" and "our" in this policy mean Inception I/O Ltd.

Inception I/O Ltd is the data controller for the personal data we collect through Dropfeed.

We collect only what's needed to run the service:

• Email address — used to sign you in and send price alert notifications.
• Product URLs and target prices — the products you ask us to track and the prices you set.
• Price history — historical prices we scrape for products you're tracking, used to power the price charts in your dashboard.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and events like alerts created or emails opened. Collected anonymously via PostHog to help us improve the product.

We do not collect payment card details directly — payments are handled by Stripe.

• To send you a sign-in link when you log in.
• To monitor product prices on your behalf and email you when your target is hit.
• To show you price history charts in your dashboard.
• To understand how people use Dropfeed so we can improve it.
• To process payments if you subscribe to a paid plan.

Our legal basis for processing your data is contract (providing the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (improving and securing the service).

We use the following third parties to operate the service:

• Supabase — stores your account data and alert settings. Hosted in the EU.
• Resend — delivers transactional emails (sign-in links and price alerts).
• PostHog — product analytics. Data is hosted in the EU. We do not share personally identifiable information with PostHog beyond your user ID.
• Stripe — payment processing for paid plans. We never see or store your card details.
• Railway — cloud infrastructure that hosts the Dropfeed application.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and is responsible for data they hold on their own systems.

We will email you in two situations: when you request a sign-in link, and when a product you're tracking drops to your target price.

Every price alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that removes that specific alert. You can also delete all your alerts from your dashboard at any time.

We do not send marketing emails or share your email address with advertisers.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Price history data for products may be retained in aggregated, anonymised form for longer.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dropfeed.com. We'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. PostHog uses localStorage to store an anonymous analytics identifier.

If we make significant changes to this policy we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
